STATEMENT ON COVID-19
Dear Lumberjaxes Friends,
At Lumberjaxes, we care very much about our axe throwing community — and the city and country we are so fortunate to call home. We would like to thank you for supporting our business and staff of 100+ Pittsburghers!
We have determined that as a local business we need to do our part in the fight against the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). We would like to provide an update on steps that we are taking to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.
- Temporary Closures: All Lumberjaxes Axe Throwing and Sliders Ice Curling locations in the Pittsburgh area (Cranberry, Millvale, Monroeville, and Mt. Lebanon) will be closed beginning today, March 16, 2020 through March 29, 2020. Our tentative re-opening date is March 30, 2020.
- Additional Cleaning and Sanitizing: We have already initiated and plan to enact additional measures for deep cleaning and sanitizing our facilities in accordance with federal, state and local guidance. We will increase the frequency of our cleaning measures while also providing our staff and customers with the ability to sanitize as needed.
- Reduced Capacity: Fortunately, Lumberjaxes operates some of the largest axe throwing locations in Pennsylvania, which will allow us to create larger distances between our customers. Upon re-opening we will closely monitor CDC, WHO, and local guidance on capacity recommendations.
- Support Local Businesses: As one of Pittsburgh’s most popular locally owned entertainment establishments, we feel compelled to support other local small businesses at this time. We encourage all of you to purchase gift cards for your favorite restaurants, hair salons, entertainment facilities, and other local small businesses. If you have services scheduled, don’t cancel, just ask to reschedule once this fight is over.
Please stay tuned to our emails and social media for further updates.
